I finally finished the toy trains. They are a LOT of work. Because little hands are going to be playing with these, I wanted to make everything rock solid. I also want to make it ultra-safe, so I had to ease all the sharp edges... and there are a lot of edges. Thankfully, it's done. The trains have been painted in bright latex colours that are safe when completely cured (about 2 weeks), which is perfect timing for the craft shows. I think I'm going to ask people to place an order for these as opposed to buying them on the spot, as I expect they'll fly off the shelf even at $50 each.
Yesterday, I designed a dump truck and I'll try to build a quick prototype to get all the measurements right. I'm also building an abacus-like wooden ball toy for little ones 6 months old and up.
