The crafting season really reduced my stock of lumber. So I went to KJP Select Hardwoods over the weekend to restock. Mmmm, mmmm good. The store was as amazing as ever and they are expanding too!
I got some Nogal for the first time. It's a Brazilian walnut but the colour is not like our North American walnut... more milk chocolatey.
I also restocked on a lot of hard sugar maple and nicely tinted cherry wood, woods that I constantly use and are the backbone of the stuff I produce.
I picked up a nice very orange board of padauk, a very curly fiddleback maple board, and a gorgeous spalted maple board (see pic). That board will be used in something nice... not sure what yet.
