After a few emails, my home phone rang and there, at the other end, was the unmistakable voice of Graham Kerr, still recognizable after all these years. Graham wanted to underscore how pleased he was that someone was still making the spurtles that he helped popularize, and gave me a quick history of its origin. I promise to share this in another post. He also hinted at sharing pics of the one original spurtle that he got back in the 1960s which would be a rare treat to share with you. There may be more benefits for you coming out of this newfound relationship with Graham, but I don;t want to put the cart before the horse. Even if these don't materialize, I am both awestruck and humbled that Graham would reach out to me.
