I was floored by the community response to the Capital Artisans Guild craft show at Sir Robert Borden this last weekend. It was like there had never been a craft show in the neighbourhood - which it seems may be true. So many items were sold that I have to spend all of my free time in the workshop to restock. We were also collecting food and funds for the Ottawa Food Bank subsidiary Morrison gardens. We collected $470 and 9 boxes of food. The students at Sir Rob were also running a canteen to raise funds for their trip to Ghana in Africa to help build a school. They raised close to $800 as well. All in all, a fantastic event. many thanks to the organizers.
